Jackie brought up her family and has lived in the area for over thirty years. Jackie considers herself to be a proud local. She has a background in marketing and administration which has taught her to be organised and efficient. When her children left home she retrained as a chef which showed her she was never too old to learn new skills!
She has served as a parish councillor for a number of years and learnt the importance of teamwork, listening and building trust. She values being reliable and honest above all else.
Whilst her beliefs sit comfortably with conservative values, she is an independent thinker and would always hope to do what is right in a certain situation. Local government is about local people and is certainly not one size fits all.
She is delighted to be involved in her community whenever she can, either through poppy selling, door knocking in election campaigns, supporting local events or even just meeting people through her love of sport.
