Rachel has been involved in Conservative politics since university and is an active campaigner nationally and locally across the South West. In addition to her role as Deputy Chairman Political and Campaigns, Rachel is also Chairman of Conservative Women’s Organisation for Bristol and Gloucester, The Thursday Group in South Cerney and has established a Conservatives Ladies Lunch Club for the South Cotswolds. Professionally, Rachel's background is stakeholder communications and Public Affairs in the defence industry, energy, waste, and infrastructure sectors for major corporates and within government.
Rachel has a BA Hons and D.Phil from the University of Oxford and speaks French and Turkish. Rachel is married with one grown up son and lives in the rural Cotswolds. She is a Poppy Appeal Organiser within the South Cerney division and a long-standing volunteer fundraiser for veterans causes and elderly charities. She is a champion of farming and rural issues. Other interests include: politics and international affairs as well as cycling, walking, running, sailing, ballet and cooking.
