Another successful well attended SCCA Conservative Women’s lunch club event. Our club (formerly established in Wiltshire and now embracing the new South Cotswold constituency) has a proud heritage.
Established over 60 years ago and with some of our original founding members still in attendance, we are going strong and attracting new friends all the time.
The lunch was in the wonderful surroundings of Luckington, Sherston, where Helen and her team at the Old Royal Ship did us proud. Our speaker was our President, David Longridge, former businessman/financier turned author. David entertained and educated us about the journey of his latest historical novel Barricade set in the former Belgian Congo. Great talk and great conversations all round the room from family to politics to books, dogs and horses. Looking forward to our next event already.
